Summary: Sprain and strain injuries are common injuries to the mining industry workforce. One hazard is the lifting and carrying of 20 litre oil drums out of ordinary multipurpose vehicle materials pods. In response to this, a 20 Litre Oil Drum Cassette was developed which allows for oil drums to be easily accessed using a roll-down feature. In conjunction, a purpose-built Drum Lifting Handle was developed which can be mounted to the side of an oil drum allowing for more ergonomically friendly carrying. The combination of the 20 Litre Oil Drum Cassette and Drum Lifting Handle reduces the risk of sprain and strain injuries.
