Summary: Developed in response to the risk posed by the movement of large equipment, the multipurpose Heavy Equipment Tow Hitch improves the safety and operational efficiency of a mine site. Use of the Heavy Equipment Tow Hitch reduces the likelihood of an accident caused by uncontrolled movement of a towed load. Three components of the Heavy Equipment Tow Hitch are: an attachment system that connects the tow hitch to the prim mover; a correctly rated articulation joint that allows for controlled towing; and a tow plate which is fitted to the equipment being moved.
