Lessons and units of work

To compliment teaching about minerals and mining, we have produced a variety of lesson plans and ideas which teachers can download.

Some of these are linked to our ‘virtual tours’ to Cadia Hill gold mine and the Bengalla coal mine and can be used in conjunction with these "visits" to NSW mine sites or as stand alone lessons.

Most are directly linked to the NSW Stage 3 Science & Technology, Stage 3 H.S.I.E and Stages 4/5 Science syllabus.

We invite teachers to send us any lessons relating to minerals or mining that we can list on this site to assist students and teachers in their learning process.
