23 August 2005: NSW Energy Future: The white paper on the energy future of NSW has been further delayed. Premier Morris Iemma told the Daily Telegraph on 22 August that the white paper is unlikely to be released before by-elections for three state seats are held on 17 September. NSW needs an extra 2,000MW of base-load power by 2012. Coal fired power is still the only affordable way to meet base-load power demand in NSW. More.
