Mineral companies and Indigenous communities in NSW have a common interest in the land. Mining companies work with local Aboriginal groups to obtain access to land and minerals resources, and to manage cultural heritage that exists on the land.
The minerals industry in NSW also strives to develop good relationships and partnerships with regional Indigenous communities to better understand traditional culture and explore employment opportunities in the mining industry.
